The United States of America had issued this commemorative quarter dollar with the theme of Chaco Culture National Historical Park in the year 2012.

The Chaco Culture National Historical Park is one of the parks of the United States of America situated in north-western New Mexico. This national park contains the most sweeping collections of the ancient ruins of Mexico. This National Park also preserved one of the most important Pre-Columbian cultures and historical areas in the United States of America.

The obverse of this coin depicts the portrait of George Washington facing towards left with the motto ‘LIBERTY’ and ‘IN THE GOD WE TRUST’ written on the left and side of the coin. The inscription ‘UNITED STATES OF AMERICA’ is written on the top side of the coin and the inscription ‘QUARTER DOLLAR’ is written at the bottom. The reverse side of this coin depicts illustrates a view to the west of two elevated kivas that are part of the Chetro Ketl Complex.
