Kirat Singh was a ruler of Gohad State; he ruled Gohad State from 1803 to 1805. Later; he also ruled Princely State Dholpur from 1805 to 1835, he was the first ruler of Princely State Dholpur.Dholpur was a Princely State during the British rule in India. It is situated in the easternmost state of Rajputana Province during the British Raj. It was found in the year 1806 CE by a Jat ruler. After 1818, the state was placed under the authority of British India’s Rajputana Agency. The state was ruled by the Ranas until the independence of India in 1947. It is now located in the present state of Rajasthan.
This silver rupee which weighs around 10.9g was issued from Dholpur in the name of Mughal Emperor Muhammad Akbar II. The obverse of this coin is inscribed with the name and title of Muhammad Akbar II with the Hijri Year 1244 and the reverse of this coin is inscribed with the mint name Dholpur with regnal year 23.
