Andrew Jackson’s Liberty First Spouse 10 Dollars Coin

The United States of America had issued this commemorative 10 Dollars coin with the theme of Andrew Jackson’s Liberty in the year 2008.The Presidential $1 Coin Act of 2005 contains a provision to provide continuity of the First Spouse Gold Coin Program during those times in which a president served without a first spouse. Andrew Jackson is such a president that his wife Rachel died in 1828, just a few months before he was inaugurated as President.
The obverse of this coin depicts Bust of Liberty facing towards left wearing a soft cap. This image was also used on a half dollar which was issued from 1807 to 1836. The reverse of this coin depicts Andrew Jackson also known as "Old Hickory" to his troops, in uniform, and on horseback.
