The Paramara dynasty was an Indian dynasty that had ruled the Indian subcontinent during the medieval period. This region had ruled the Malwa and surrounding areas in west-central India between the 9th and 14th centuries. The Paramaras was well known as the patronage to Sanskrit poets and scholars. Most of the Paramaras king was Shaivites. The Paramara dynasty came to the power after the decline of Chalukyas of Gujarat, the Chalukyas of Kalyani, the Kalachuris of Tripuri and other neighboring kingdoms.This gold 4 ½ Masha of Udayaditya was issued from Paramaras of Dhara. The obverse of this coin depicts Goddess Lakshmi seated facing front. The reverse of this coin depicts Nagari legend Srimadu / daya De/vah, in three lines.
