Muhammad Ghazi Shah was a sultan of Kashmir Sultanate. He ruled Kashmir Sultanate for a very short period from 1555 CE till 1562 CE. As a result of his short reign, coins issued by him are very rare.

Muhammad Ghazi Shah issued a coin in two metals silver. He issued most of the coins in the name of Mughal Emperor Akbar. Coins that were struck with his name Muhammad Ghazi were struck in the Hijri year 969 and 970.

This silver square sasnu was issued by him in the name of Muhammad Akbar weighs around 5.92g. This silver square sasnu was issued by him from the mint Kashmir. The obverse of this coin is inscribed as ‘Azam Muhammad Jalal Al-Din Akbar’. The reverse of this coin is inscribed with the mint name ‘Kashmir’ and date.
