USPS celebrates year of the Rat

The most important holiday for many Asian Countries is the Lunar New year. To commemorate this event USPS Post has released of the special year of the rat forever stamp. According to the tradition, the year of the rat starts from January 25th 2020 and ends on February 11th 2021. The artwork illustrated on the stamp is created by Camille Chew, the Postal Service has opened the series of Lunar New Year Stamp series consist of 12 amazing items.The stamp illustrates a rat mask which is created with a mind blowing elaborated decorated masks used in dragon dance, hallmark Lunar New Year parades. The major colour of the design is blue as it is considered to be the lucky colour. The yellow motif above the rat is similar to the crown as it associated as the 1st animal in the 12 zodiac animals in the Chinese calendar.
