Mexico to release 50 peso banknote

At the end of 2018, the Bank of Mexico has released the image of a 500 peso bill. The advanced bill will consist of a drawing of an axolotl and a cornflower which are from Mexican origin. This 50 peso bill is issued to commemorate the founding of Tenochtitlan and also the landscape of Xochimilco.The axolotl is an endemic amphibian from the valley of Mexico that is currency surviving in 180 square kilometres of Xochimilco canals. The Banxico confirmed that the 20-peso bills will cease to circulate and will be replaced by coins of the same denomination with addition to the launch of new versions of the 50, 100, 200, 500. The new ticket or banknote is now illustrated with a drawing by Benito Juárez.
