The United States of America had issued this commemorative half-dollar with the theme of Lexington-Concord in the year 1925. This Commemorative half dollar was issued by the United States of America to Commemorative 150th anniversary of the Battle of Lexington and Concord.

The Battle of Lexington and Concord were the first military engagement of the American Revolutionary War. The battles were fought on April 19, 1775, in Middlesex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay, within the towns of Lexington, Concord, Lincoln, Menotomy (present-day Arlington), and Cambridge.

The obverse of this coin depicts a soldier with the rifle by Daniel Chester French, in Concord, Massachusetts. The reverse of this coin depicts old belfry at Lexington.
