Baden 9-Kreuzer error stamp

The historical German state of Baden produced the Baden 9 kreuzer error stamp in 1851. This stamp is printed on blue-green paper instead of the intended rose paper. It is considered one of the most valuable German stamps.This stamp was offered by Heinrich Koehler auction house on 9-kreuzer black on the mailed coved on June 8th. This specimen is said to the eternal collectible of germen born billionaire businessman Erivan Haub. The cover was mailed from Ettenheim to Karlsruhe in 1851 and was owned by the three eminent figures in the philatelic world like Philipp la Renotiere von Ferrary, Alfred Caspary and John R Boker Jr.
This stamp was offered at the starting bid of 800,000 Euro’s but this amazing lot fetch the recorded price of 1.26 million Euro’s approx 1,413,537 US dollars.
