Billon Six Gani of Shihab Al-din Umar of Khalji Dynasty

Shihab Al-Din Umar was the third sultan of the Khalji Dynasty of Delhi Sultanate in India. He sat on the throne of Delhi Sultanate after the death of his father Alauddin Khalji in the year 1316 CE. When he sat on the throne of Delhi Sultanate he was very small, so he made to sit on the throne of Delhi Sultanate with the help of Alauddin Khalji Slave Malik Kafur. After assination of general Malik Kafur, his brother Qutb-ud-Din Mubarak became his regent. Qutb-ud-Din Mubarak dethroned him, and he sat on the throne of Delhi Sultanate.This very rare billion six Gani which weighs around 3.64g was issued by him. The obverse of these six Gani is inscribed as Abul Muzaffar Umar Shah Al-Sultan. The reverse of this coin is inscribed as Al Sultan Al Azam Shihab Al Duniya Wa’l Din’.
