Long Island Tercentenary Half Dollar

Long Island is the densely populated island situated in New York, in the northeast part of the United States of America. This island has long recorded his history which starts from first European settlements in the 17th century. The Long Island was inhabited by the Native Americans, generally Delaware people at the western end and Montauk people throughout the rest.The obverse of this coin depicts the head bust of Indian and early European settlers facing towards the right in the center with the inscription ‘LIBERTY’ and ‘E PLURIBUS UNUM’ around. The reverse of this coin depicts 17th-century Dutch sailing ship with the inscription ‘UNITED STATES OF AMERICA’ at the top and ‘IN GOD WE TRUST’, ‘1936’ , ‘LONG ISLAND TERCENTENARY’, ‘HALF DOLLAR’. at the bottom.
