Highlights of Mayfair September auction

On September 29th Mayfair conducted its latest auction. It offered a great philatelic material with many Canadian, British, Chinese lots. Sales well over 350,000 Euros were realized with a strong book lively, plus on-live and telephone bidding.As usual and mixed lots proved popular and the greatest result was achieved by the GB section. Among the highlight £1680 lot 669 a mint £5 orange £3240 and 674, the 21/2d pl 2 on a blued paper mint 2160 Euros. A very rare unused £5 Die proof was eventually sold on the telephone for £10,800.
Mayfair's next auction will be in November this month. This upcoming lot will consist of around 6000 specimens with 0% buyer’s premium.
