India Post Features Fort Gates of India on Stamps

India Post issued a set 8 Commemorative Postage stamps on 19th October 2019 featuring 'Historical Gates of Indian Forts and Monuments.There is a list of iconic gates in India such as Buland Darwaza, Baroda Palace Gate, Vittala Gate at Hampi, Ganesh Gate of Amer Fort, Swaminarayan Mandir gate and Massive Gates of Kumbhalgarh Fort Ranthambore Fort, and Big Gateway of Bidar Fort, etc. But there very few which are illustrated on stamps.
India Post has brought 8 iconic gates of 8 iconic forts in India. The stamps depict Buland Darwaza, Fatehpur Sikri; Kote Gate, Bikaner; Jorawar Gate,Jaipur; Sardar Market Gate,Jodhpur; Kashmere Gate,Delhi; Roomi Darwaza,Lucknow; Magazine Gate,Ajmer and Delhi Gate,Delhi. The stamps are of denominations Rs10, Rs5, Rs5, Rs5, Rs5, Rs5, Rs5 and Rs10 respectively.
