Niue mint has issued a beautiful 2 oz Silver coin dedicating to one of the most famous symbols of the Japanese Culture – the Geisha.Scrupulous make-up, colorful kimono, fancy hairstyle: attributes of geisha are symbols of Japanese culture recognized all over the world. Mysterious Geishas are educated and talented artists, who know the secrets of the arts of dancing, singing playing various instruments, and running tea ceremonies.
The two-dollar “Geisha” coin is inspired by a Japanese culture that is enriched with rich decorations. The coin features a wonderful High Relief and has beautiful selective Gold plating with an incredible design.
The obverse of the coin depicts the right-facing portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with a highly intricate border. The denomination can be seen at the bottom of the coin and the name of the country is in the right field. The reverse of the coin depicts a kneeling Geisha wearing a beautiful kimono with a beautiful Japanese landscape behind with a red sun on the left.
