World Teachers’ Day Celebrated by San Marino Post

In the year 2015, San Marino post issued a set of two stamps celebrating World Teachers’ Day which is held on 5th October every year since the year 1994.World Teachers’ Day is celebrated to commutate the Teachers’ Organizations all over the world. The aim behind celebrating this day is to mobilize the support to the teaching professionals and to ensure that the needs of the future generations would be met by them.
The day marks a significant gesture of awareness, understanding and appreciation shown towards this noble profession and acknowledgement of the contribution given by the teachers to the field of education research and ultimately to the development.
Over 100 countries observe this Day on both International and National level. San Marino Post issued a set of two stamps in the year 2015 with the denominations of 0.80 and 0.95 Euros. The stamps are inscribed with the name of the country at the top along with the denomination and the coat of arms on the country.
The 0.80 Euro stamp depicts some students listening to a teacher who is holding a book in his hand. The students are standing on a pile of book symbolizing the fertile soil of knowledge. The other stamp depicts a teacher guiding students with a beam of light meaning that a teacher is someone who shows a path of life to his students.
