Mintage World Unveiled at 25th Shukla Day by Hon’ble CM Devendra Fadnavis
2016-04-26 Tue
What an honour it is for Mintage World to have been inaugurated at the hands of our Honourable Chief Minister, Shri Devendra Fadnavis! The Chief Minister of Maharashtra addressed the gathering after unveiling the Mintage World Website. He appreciated the effort put into creating the world’s first virtual platform where one can access information on coins, stamps, and currency notes in one place. He also appreciated the organisers of the 25th Shukla Day event for bringing together collectors and dealers.Mr. Fadnavis underlined the importance of preserving our heritage and history through coin, notes, and stamps. Although people take up collecting coins and stamps as children, they tend to grow out of it as time passes due to lack of guidance as well as low efforts in conservation and preservation. The exhibition is a great platform to take numismatics, philately, and notaphily from being just a hobby to an auction, trade, and business.
The Chief Minister expressed his regret for not giving enough time at the exhibition. “I will make it a point another time, to spare some time to come here and have a look at all the exhibits. It is a part of our rich cultural heritage and history. When we look at all these artefacts and exhibits, we feel nostalgic.” He noted that a country that does not know or learn from its past, has no future.
Shri Devendra Fadnavis gave his best wishes to Mintage World and its future.
