Baseball is a sport which is played between two teams on a field. This game is played with a bat, ball and glove. This game works with the fundamental of throwing the ball, hitting the ball, and catching the ball. In this game, one player throws the small round ball at the player of the other team. The player of the opposite team has to hit the ball with the bat and run around the field. The player to hits the ball scores points by running around in a full circle around three markers on the ground called bases, to back where they started, which is called home plate. The batsman has to complete this without getting caught by the player on the other team. The United States of America had issued this commemorative half-dollar with the theme of baseball in the year 1995. The obverse of this coin depicts the design of baseball with a batter, catcher, and referee alongside the Olympic rings. The reverse of this coin depicts Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games Mark juxtaposed over a globe that represents the nearly 200 nations of the world that came together for the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games.
