Andrew Carnegie Libraries on Latest Irish Stamps

On 8th August, An Post from Ireland released four stamps to commemorate the 100th death anniversary Andrew Carnegie. They depict Carnegie libraries in Kilkenny, Clondalkin, Enniskerry and Athea, respectively. The se-tenant non-denominated stamps are printed in panes of 16. They feature the letter “N” which stands for the basic rate.Andrew Carnegie was a Scottish-American industrialist and philanthropist who was born in 1835. He donated money to build more than 80 libraries in Ireland, out of which, 62 are still functional.
