The United States of America had issued this commemorative silver dollar with the theme of Tennis in the year 1996. The United States of America had issued this coin to support the Atlanta Centennial Olympic Games and the programs of the United States Olympic Committee.The surcharges from the sales of these coins will be used as a fund for a variety of organization and projects which will benefit the public. The obverse of this coin features women playing tennis and the Olympic rings. The reverse of this coin depicts a torch and flame on the left side of the coin and the words Atlanta 1996 on the right side of the coin.
