New Mexico is one of the states of the United States of America; it is situated in the North-western region of the United States of America. The capital and cultural centre of this state are Santa Fe. The Economy of this state depends on oil drilling, mineral extraction, dry land farming, cattle ranching, lumber milling, and retail trade. This state ranks fifth among all the 50 states of the United States of America; in terms of its total area. Due to its large area and economic climate, New Mexico has a large U.S. military presence marked notably with the White Sands Missile Range.

The United States of America had issued a commemorative quarter dollar with the theme of state New Mexico in the year 2008. The reverse of this coin depicts New Mexico’s quarter features a Zia sun symbol over a topographical outline of the State.
