2019-05-23 Thu

Oklahoma is one of the states of the United States of America, situated in the south-central region of the country. It is bordered by Arkansas on the east, New Mexico on the west, Kansas on the north, and Texas on the south. Oklahoma State is the 20th-most extensive and the 28th-most populous of the fifty United States. This state got its name from Choctaw words Okla and humma, meaning "red people".

State Oklahoma is a producer of natural gas, oil, and agricultural products. Historically, it has also served as the route of cattle drives, it was a destination for Southern Settlers and a government-sanctioned territory for Native Americans.

The United States of America had issued a commemorative quarter dollar with the theme of state Oklahoma in the year 2008. The reverse of this coin depicts the image of the State bird, the Scissortail Flycatcher, in flight with its distinctive tail feathers spread. The bird is soaring over the State wildflower, the Indian Blanket, backed by a field of similar wildflowers.
