Oregan is one of the states of the United States of America; it is situated in the Pacific Northwest region on the West Coast of the United States of America. Oregon is one of only four states of the continental United States to have a coastline on the Pacific Ocean. It is the 9th largest state and 27th most populous state of the United States of America. It is one of the most geographically diverse states of United States of America. This state is marked by volcanoes, abundant bodies of water, dense evergreen and mixed forest, as well as high deserts and semi-arid shrublands. Due to its diverse landscape and waterways, this state is largely populated by various forms of agriculture, fishing, and hydroelectric power.The United States of America had issued this commemorative quarter dollar with the theme of state Oregon in the year 2005. This quarter dollar is 3rd quarter dollar release in the year 2005 and overall it is 33rd quarter dollar release in 50 states quarters program. The reverse of this coin depicts a portion of Crater Lake, viewed from the south-southwest rim to include Wizard Island and Watchman and Hillman Peaks in the lake's rim.
