Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit will be featured on new 2019 50-penny coins for the UK. The famous lovable character appeared on UK coins for the first time in the year 2016. It was part of a special set that celebrated Beatrix Potter’s 150th anniversary. Peter Rabbit was also featured on coins that were released in 2017 and 2018. This year though, the commemorative coins will have a limited mintage and they won’t enter general circulation.Created by Royal Mint designer Emma Noble, the new coin highlights Potter’s original illustration style. They are available in three versions.
