The sole rights to mint coin reside with the Government of India, according to the Coinage Act of 1906 which is amended from time to time. The production and issuing of the coins in different face value are decided by the GOI, these coins are minted from the four different mints in India, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Noida. These coins are circulated through Reserve Bank of India.

The GOI of India is soon going to issue a twenty rupee coin in circulation. This coin will be a bi-metallic, the shape and design of the coin are unknown. So guys wait for this upcoming new denomination in the Indian metal currency.
