The term 'Baroque' is a characterization of the awareness of architecture, sculpture, painting, philosophy, literature, theatre, fashion, music, and dance. It displays affluence, splendour, and motion. The 2009 issue of the Tiffany Art Series highlights the Baroque style of architecture by depicting an illustrious example of Baroque art, The Palace of Versailles. The obverse of the coin provides an artistic insight into the Hall of Mirrors in the Palace of Versailles while the reverse showcases the Fountain of Parterre d'eau with the front gardens of the palace serving as a backdrop. An Orange Tiffany glass windowpane is inlaid on both sides of the coin, successfully integrating it into the Tiffany Art Series.
