South Africa Post issued two miniature sheets on 150 years of Arrival of Indian Workers in South Africa.In Nov 1860 port of Natal welcomed 341 Indians who were sailed to South Africa from Madras, India. These workers were employed in the Sugarcane fields to meet the requirements of booming Natal Sugar Industry.
In Nov 2011, in the 150th year of this incident South Africa Post issued two miniature sheets. One shows workers working in Sugarcane Fields and the other shows the sketch of S. S. Truro and sheet shows Labourers arriving in Durban Harbour.
