The Central Bank of Syria issued these 100 Syrian Banknotes in 1998, which depict Roman Theatre at Bosra.

The Roman Theatre at Bosra is located in Dar's district in southwestern Syria. Roman Theatre at Bosra is the large Ancient Roman theatre in Bosra built during the early third century CE. Bostra was established as the first urban city in the Nabatean Kingdom in the 2nd century BC. It was once one of the main cities of the powerful Nabatean Kingdom, whose abandoned city of Petra is world-famous.

The front side of these 100 Syrian Pounds features Roman Theatre at Bosra. The backside of these banknotes features Hejaz Railway Station.
