The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates released a new 10 dirham banknote made of polymer and enhanced by advanced technical characteristics and security features. The new banknote is the third issue of the national currency and reflects the CBUAE’s aim to keep pace with the nation’s development and vision in the next fifty years, particularly in the financial and economic sectors.
The banknote includes a transparent window featuring a portrait of the late founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and the logo of the UAE nation brand with fluorescent drawings and inscriptions created using advanced intaglio printing techniques.
The new AED 10 banknote will also retain its green color. The iconic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque will be positioned in the front center, while an image of Sharjah's Khorfakkan amphitheater will be on the reverse side.
