Robert A Siegel offers a bloc of four 1c Pan-American error stamps in its 30-31 March sale that will provide to collectors attention a great variety of US stamp and other philatelic items. The stamps were mistakenly inverted during their original printing in 1901. The lot is in very fine condition and is being offered at the starting price 75,000.

The Pan-American Inverts were the Bureau of Engraving and printing first bicoloured postage stamps as well as the Post Offices inverts errors since the 1869s. The 1 cent Pan-American inverts were discovered in some post office throughout the country. Some of the blocks may have been broken into separate items. Robert A Siegel describes this block as featuring deep rich colour and proof like impressions bottom left stamp light natural gum bend, tiny hinge thins affect three stamp top left in sound.
