The US Mint was established by Congress in 1792 and turned out to be a part of the Division of the Treasury in 1873. It is the Country's sole producer of legitimate delicate coins and is in charge of delivering coinage for the Country to direct its exchange and business. The US Mint American Development $1 Coin Program is a multi-year arrangement that pays tribute to America's resourcefulness and praise the spearheading endeavors of people or gatherings from every one of the 50 states, Area of Columbia, and the U.S. regions.

The US Mint will start to undertake orders for rolls and sacks of American Innovation™ $1 Coins dedicated to Delaware beginning September 19 around early afternoon EDT. This is the first of four 2019 American Advancement $1 Coins the Mint will launch this year.

The Delaware $1 Coin identifies the astronomer Annie Hop Gun, who built up a framework for categorizing the stars that are still utilized today. This structure includes an outline of Cannon against the night sky, with various stars noticeable. The engravings are "The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," “ANNIE JUMP CANNON,” “CLASSIFYING THE STARS,” and “DELAWARE.”

The obverse design features a dramatic representation of the Statue of Liberty in profile with the inscriptions “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “$1.” The design also includes a privy mark of a stylized gear, representing industry and innovation.
