Jubbal princely state was located at a height of 2200 meters above sea level. It was covered with an area of 682 square kilometres. According to 1901 census, the total population of the state was 21,172. It stretched from Shimla and Balshan in the west and to Rawin, Tarooch and Dehra Dun district in the east. It was famous for its dense forests of Deodars trees.
