2016-10-26 Wed

A new coloured one troy ounce 99.99% pure silver proof finish coin issued by the Royal Canadian Mint recreates a winter scene using traditional sculpting and Murano glass. Each coin produced is unique as every glass application is different. The Murano glass tree is created by famous glass-makers Giorgio and Bernardino Vio of Murano from Italy.

Coin reverses feature a countryside with snow, smoke from a wooden cabin, a horse-sleigh with riders, pine trees, and a Murano glass tree. Other inscriptions include CANADA, 20 DOLLARS, 2017 and TB for the artist Tony Bianco’s initials.

Obverses depict the common portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. Other inscriptions include ELIZABETH II, D G REGINA, and SB.

The mintage limit of the 99.99% pure silver 31.39 grams 20 dollars coin is 7,000.

The coin with special packaging can be purchased for CAD $152.95.
